The goal of the project was to create a refreshed and unified suite of employee resource group icons that aligned to the Fannie Mae master brand. Previously, visual representations of each group varied greatly with no obvious connection to each other or the broader organization. This issue was resolved through the use of a repeated visual motif, unified color palette, and typography treatment. The new suite of identifiers preserves and celebrates the uniqueness of each group while appearing more cohesive and intentional from a branding perspective.
The government-sponsored enterprise features an inclusive culture where employees feel respected and valued, and offers employee resource groups that offer employees of all backgrounds and interests a chance to connect, learn, develop, and connect around common interests while furthering the company’s mission and business objectives. Employee resource groups are employee initiated and employee led; their efforts support the company's diversity and inclusion strategy commitments.
